Gentian Elezi has a 15+ years of experience in governance, democratisation, public administration, European integration and policy processes in the Western Balkans. He has worked as a consultant for several projects focusing on strategic development, institutional reforms, and capacity building in the public sector and civil society.
In addition to his consultancy work, he has also served as Deputy Minister for European Integration of Albania (2013-2016), covering inter-institutional coordination, supervising harmonisation with EU law, and chairing committees and high-level working groups on key priorities for EU accession.
Gentian Elezi is also an academic and a published researcher. He is a professor at the College of Europe, Tirana campus, and holder of a Jean Monnet Chair “Building capacities for EU accession” at the University of Tirana. He holds a PhD and MA in Politics from the University of Sussex (UK), and a BA in Political Science from the University of Milan (Italy).
