Nur Saleh

Nur is a Senior Project Manager at GPG with extensive experience implementing governance programmes in complex and challenging contexts in the Middle East and Africa. She is currently overseeing GPG’s project in Sudan which is supporting the effective functioning of the new civilian led transitional government that has formed after the fall of former regime. Previous to this she worked with the national parliament in bringing about positive change to their way of work, including enabling politicians to tackle human rights issues, such as freedom of religion and belief, more effectively.

Nur is Head of Programmes and Development at GPG, with experience in implementing adaptive programmes centred around reform of political institutions in complex political environments. At GPG, Nur has delivered projects in Sudan and Iraq focusing on parliamentary reform, effective local governance, and strengthening political representation by providing technical support to politicians, officials, and political parties.

Nur also provides oversight to programmes across the organisation and manages and mentors project staff.

Nur retains professional fluency in English and Arabic. She holds a Masters in African studies from SOAS University of London and a Bachelors in Politics and International Relations from the Royal Holloway University of London.
