Doaa Hussein

Operations Manager

Doaa is Operations Manager at GPG, where she currently focusses on Human Resources (process and strategy). She plays a key role in ensuring staff feel supported through formal training, development opportunities, and pastoral care where necessary. She is essential in driving forward the team culture we want to see at GPG/F and leads on improvement identified through staff consultation. She is also responsible for building and instituting onboarding processes which ensure all new staff and Associates receive appropriate induction, and oversees appropriate staff training is received.

Doaa has experience in projects operations across various projects in challenging contexts and focussed on supporting parliamentary, political, and policy development in the MENA region. This is in addition to her experience in finance and planning and implementing workshops and conferences.

Doaa holds a career development certificate in Business Administration and Management from the American University in Cairo (AUC) and a BA in Eastern Languages, faculty of Arts and Humanities. She speaks Arabic, English and Turkish.

She is responsible for Egypt office budget, expenditures and main point of contact for GPG’ Egypt office finance and external services. The smooth running of GPG Egypt office is among the competencies along with some HR responsibilities regards to Egypt office staff. She is responsible for liaising between Egypt and Jordan offices, and London Operations team to ensure policies and procedures are implemented consistently. Provide administrative support as well as drafting, word processing and formatting documents and contracts with local partners. Also, providing English-Arabic-English editing and translation.

She joined Global Partners Governance (GPG) in June 2013 as an administrative assistant and became an office administrator in June 2014 then, GPG Egypt office manager in July 2015 and became a projects assistant in July 2016.

Doaa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Oriental Languages, with specialization in Hebrew literature from faculty of Arts and Humanities, Helwan University, Egypt. Also, she has a career development certificate in business administration and management for the American University in Cairo (AUC).
